It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jo Smith of Galax, Virginia, who passed away on August 18, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Roy and Hattie Verna Patton Coe; and her husband Billie Joseph Smith. She is survived by: her children, Lee Smith (Maurice Woodie) of Galax, Virginia, Deborah Wilmouth (Howard) of Galax, Virginia, Tabitha Isom (Michael Hodge) of Galax, Virginia, Rhyan Lee Isom of Galax, Virginia and Chase Mallachi Smith of Galax, Virginia; her granddaughter Misty Funk; and her children, Sirena Rector, Indian Huffman and Bradley Sexton (Brenna). She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
