She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen T. Higgins and Edna Burris Higgins; her husband Dillard Daniel Mawyer, Jr.; and her sisters, Maude Smith and Mildred Taylor.
She is survived by: her son Barry Thomas; her daughter-in-law Theresa Ann Mawyer; and her grandson Bradley Allen (Mary Anne Mawyer) of Galax, Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mask and Social Distancing will be enforced at the graveside service.
