It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Peggy Cook (Gainesville, Virginia), born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on May 18, 2018, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She is survived by: her husband Eugene C. Cook of Gainesville, VA; and her siblings, Robert G. Johnston (Bettye) of Cleveland, MS and Faye J. Fillers (Jerry) of Knoxville, TN.. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Susanna H. Street, Joshua R. Ross, Jonathan Taylor Ross, Samantha R. Johnson, David M. Ross, Rachael D. Ross, Brandon and Braeden Ross and 4 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Novant Health Auxiliary, located in Manassas VA at 8700 Sudley Road.

“I remember Peggy as a kind and giving person who was very keen on ones deepest sensitivity. Many days she offered her counsel with a light at the end of the tunnel and there always a cup of coffee served afterwards. My deepest condolences to her family. I haven’t seen or spoken with her in many years but she always will remain my friend. She is in a wonderful place now joined by Hattie, Herb, and Mark who was my dearest companion for many years.
