It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nell Roselaine Murphy of Gainesville, Virginia, born in Hopewell, Virginia, who passed away on April 4, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin T. Broyhill and Nellie M. Broyhill; her husband Joseph P. Murphy; and her brothers, Marvin, Joel and Herbert.
She is survived by: her sister Vivian Joy Price; and her children, John Murphy (Lynne), Joel Murphy (Xiaoshi), Lorena Van Hulle (Larry) and Seana Reece (Rick). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces.
After being unable to attend church in person for the last year due to the pandemic, her desire was to start attending in person.
