She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Contini and Helen Contini of Dover; and her husband William J. Sloan of Xenia, OH. She is survived by: her daughters, Somer Sloan Gregory of Catlett, VA and Heather Sloan Lopez of Reston, VA; and her grandchildren, Alexandra (Nick), DiRobertis of North Carolina and Beau Ruga of Virginia.
After retiring, she volunteered as a, hospital aide for 12 plus years until Covid.
