He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Andrew and Bette Kerns (Moore). He is survived by: his wife Patricia Kerns (Pappano); his children, Philip Kerns (Meghan) and Jennifer Gusmer (Matthew); his grandchildren, Ryder, Adalyn and Knox Kerns; and his sisters, Jeanne Layne and Agatha JoAnne King.
