With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Christine Obal Geene of Gainesville, Virginia, born in Sayreville, New Jersey, who passed away on January 13, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Michael Obal and Helen Derent Obal; her husband Matthew P. Geene; and her brother Richard Obal. She is survived by: her brothers, Walter Obal (Kathryn) and Joseph Obal (Joan); her sons, Garrett M. Geene Sr. (Patricia) and Brandan M. Geene (Teresa); her grandchildren, Garrett M. Geene, Jr. (Amanda), Christine M. Geene and Laura A. Tindal (Kennard); her great grandchildren, Violet and Alice Tindal; her stepgrandchildren, Corey Walling, Shannon Burns, Amanda Lowe and Dalton Lowe; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Westley Nguyen, Courtney Halsey, Christian Halsey, Carter Halsey, Lily Demember and Delilah Demember.
For those who desire, in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Christine may be made to the American Cancer Society or All Saints Catholic Church Building Fund.
