With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles R. Smiley of Gainesville, Virginia, born in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 22, 2023 at the age of 91. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles C. Smiley and Edna M. Smiley (Ross); his sister Thelma Smiley; and his nephew Kevin T. Eberly. He is survived by: his sister Dorothy Eberly of Nokesville, VA; his nephew Mike Eberly (Catherine) of Gainesville, VA; his nieces, Linda Dimino (John) of Nokesville, VA and Pamela Phipps (Steve) of Culpepper, VA; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Katelyn, Chelsea, Courtney, Brittany, Hunter, Ashley and Erica; and also, Serenity, Thea, Sebastian, Zachary, Jayden and Cameron.
