He was loved and cherished by many people including: his former wife Nancy Lane; his wife Joyce Brown; his daughters, Kathleen Baxter and Susan Burkett (Jim); his stepchildren, Deborah Anderson, Michelle Messich (John) and Andy Anderson (Sandra); and his father Pop. He was also cherished by family which included 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
