He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Isaac and Helen May Conley Phillips; and his siblings, Rene Reedy and Earl "Buck" Phillips. He is survived by: his children, Donna Dove (Tony) of Broadway, Keith Phillips (Marie) of Harrisonburg, Darlene Ritchie (Richard) of Fulks Run, Delores Phillips of Harrisonburg, Harlan Phillips of Fulks Run, Debra Ritchie (Gary) of Fulks Run, Kay Wenger (Frankie) of Fulks Run, Amanda Branner (Mike) of Fulks Run and Jeremy Phillips (Amy) of Dayton; and his brothers, Eugene Phillips (Sandy) of Fulks Run and Ronnie Phillips (Joan) of Fulks Run. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McMullen Funeral Home (5784 Greenmount Rd, Harrisonburg, VA 22802). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
