He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Grove and Lona Belle Smith Grove; his sisters, Katherine G. Persinger and Ruby B. Hullings; and his stepdaughter Balinda (Dennis Sager).
He is survived by: his close friend Eleathea Thurston of Fulks Run; his children, Sheila, Jeffrey, Tony and Gail; his stepchildren, Teresa Mohler (Wilson), Sandra Bowman (Steven), John Thurston and Penny Thurston; and his pet Prissy. He is also survived by grandkids, great grandkids, great great grandkids.
