He is survived by: his wife Terri L. Shepherd; his children, Melanie Burmingham, Angel Shepherd and Tony Shepherd Jr.; his siblings, Joy Shumate and Albert John Shepherd; his grandchildren, Makayla Duvall, Alyssa Burmingham, Kayden Shepherd, Teagan Shepherd, Landon Shepherd and Carter Cave; and his niece Tonya McKenzie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
