He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon David and Edith Rudacille Tharpe of Virginia; and his brothers, Eddie Tharpe and Jack Tharpe. He is survived by: his wife Sharon B. Tharpe; his son Thomas "Tommy" G. Tharpe, Jr. (Melissa) of Winchester; his brother Roger "Perks" Tharpe of Kenansville; his grandchildren, Tyler Faye Tharpe, Chloe Elizabeth Tharpe and Thomas Evan Tharpe; his close friend Stephanie Tharpe; and his son Tyler Faye Tharpe. He is also survived by his family and numerous friends.
