She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Johnson and Geraldine Johnson; her husband Bernard Updike; her daughter Julie Updike; and her siblings, Bill Johnson and Barbara Johnson.

She is survived by: her children, John (Dina), Anne, Robert, Tom (Suzanne) and Richard; and her grandsons, Sam and Ben.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross, 430 17th St NW, Washington, DC 20006.
