With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rodney William Whitney Sr. of Front Royal, Virginia, born in Gouverneur, New York, who passed away on March 9, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Richard and Helen Joyce Hardy Whitney; and his son Rodney William "Willie" Whitney, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Collin Andrew Whitney of Alexandria, Brian Joseph Whitney of Washington State, Erik Buckingham, Pamela Irene Turnmeyer of Linden, Melissa Joy Gordon of Front Royal and Kristine Michelle Dawson of Front Royal; and his siblings, Kelly Whitney of Lovettsville, Rick Whitney of Pennsylvania, Kendall Whitney of Sterling, Kriss Whitney of Harrisville, Lynette Whitney of Lovettsville, Janette Whitney of Luray, Anne Whitney Gonzales of Kentucky, Tammy McCue of South Carolina and Suann Kling of Natural Bridge. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
