We are sad to announce that on October 12, 2022, at the age of 88, Mary I. Gates of Front Royal, Virginia, born in Wellsville, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Newell Potter and Helen Marsh Potter; her sons, Newell Charles Kocher and Kevin John Kocher; her grandson Rodney Williams Whitney, Jr.; and her sister Donna E. Dixon.
She is survived by: her husband Frederick R. Gates; her children, James G. Kocher, III (Mary) of Singer Island, FL and Lynda Bennett (Ron) of Front Royal, VA; and her stepchildren, Rebecca White of Bath, Lee Gates of Rock City and Brian Gates of Scio.
Memorials may be made to Knights Creek Church.
