It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph Aloysius Gillette of Front Royal, Virginia, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on July 27, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harriett M. Daniels and Joseph A. Gillette; his daughter Kathleen Welsh; his son-in-law Michael Welsh; his stepparents, Earl Daniels and Helen Gillette; his brother William Daniels; his sister-in-law Patricia McLamara (Hall); and his grandmother Tessie Tyrrell.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his sons, Joseph (Suzi) of Front Royal, Michael (Cynthia) of Fairfax and Daniel (Sadie) of Alexandria; and his sisters, Judith Martin and Jeanne Heiderman (Norman). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
