He was predeceased by: his parent Maxine Saville Wisecarver; and his brother Leonard Martin Hines. He is survived by: his children, John Thomas Hines, Jr. (Nina Hurt) of Front Royal, Glenda Faye Robertson of Woodbridge, VA, Christina Sue Komons of Largo, FL and Sandra Kay Detoto of St. Leonard, MD; and his sister Stella M. Trenary of Stephens City. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.
