It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Elizabeth Whittington of Front Royal, Virginia, who passed away on February 13, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mack Baer and Pearl Mayhem Brown; her husband Francis Whittington; her siblings, Mack Baer Jr., Lewis Baer, Bobby Brown, Diane Hickerson and Vivian Gill; and her grandsons, Michael Whittington, Christopher Whittington and Matthew Whittington.
She is survived by: her children, Rodney Whittington (Kathy), Roger Whittington (Betty), Melvin Whittington (Debra), Kathy Easter (Randy) and Donna Nickens (Pearl); and her brother Douglas Baer (Sue). She is also survived by eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
