He was predeceased by: his parents, Giles R. Henry Sr. and Margrette D. Henry; his son-in-law David W. Knowles; and his brother-in-law John B. Grove. He is survived by: his daughters, Kelly R. Knowles-Miller (Rob) and Shannon H. Kim (Brian); his grandsons, David W. Knowles Jr. and Adin W. Kines Jr.; his great grandchild Kennedy A. Knowles; his close friend Catherine Allen; and also, Carter Coberly (Joe), Cooper Coberly and Patsy Grove.
