He was predeceased by: his parents, H. E. "Happy" Robinson and Grace Donaldson Robinson; and his half-brother Nelson Robinson. He is survived by: his wife Diane N. Robinson; his sons, Thomas H. Robinson (Meghan) and Justin E. Robinson; his siblings, Judith Shade and Ted Robinson (Betsy); and his grandchildren, Russell, Madilyn and Nathan.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family for a trust they are establishing for his grandchildren.
