She was predeceased by: her grandfather James E Newman; her husband Lazarus Jackson; her parents, Willie Newman and Alease Newman; and her siblings, Rev. James E Newman, Francis Newman, Gladys Newman, Louise Adams and Judith Jackson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
