He was predeceased by: his parents, Harrison "Sugg" Santmyers and Betty Lee Santmyers; his wife Barbara Lou Santmyers; and his sister Sharon Lynn Santmyers. He is survived by: his sons, David (Melissa Santmyers) and Donald Jr. (Diane Santmyers); his siblings, Patricia Sours, Marion "Susie" Bell, Mark Allen Santmyers and Terry Ray Santmyers; his grandchildren, Wesley J. Rutherford, Dustin W. Santmyers, Samantha Santmyers, Sara K. Rutherford, Allison N. Santmyers and Kelsey Santmyers; his pet Peanut; his friend Alberto Flores; and also Charlie Wayne.
