He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Hicks and Ruth Peck Hicks; and his brother Johnny Hicks. He is survived by: his wife Patsy L. "Pat" Hicks; his children, Robin Hicks Bayne of Front Royal, Mark Hicks (Mandy) of Front Royal and Mike Hicks (Mary) of Stephens City; and his siblings, Duane Hicks (Bonnie) of Baltimore, Maryland, Teresa "T. K." Purbaugh of Rockwood and Betty Sue Micklo of Baltimore, Maryland.
