He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Bennerson and Mary Bennerson; his spouse Selma Louise Bennerson (Corner); his children, Clifford Bennerson and Celia Hamed (Seifuddin); and his grandson Lamar.
He is survived by: his sisters, Blanche Hamilton and Alice Hamm; his sons, Alphonso Bennerson, Jr. (Glenda) of Front Royal, Virginia and Gregory Bennerson of New York City; his grandchildren, Glen Edwards (Laura), Germaine Bennerson, Noah Bennerson, Phoebe Bennerson, Kenneth Campbell, Louise Baptiste, Tiffany Baptiste and Felicia NiBlack (Kolby); and his great grandchildren, Akira Bennerson, Kairo NiBlack, Arianna Baptiste and Andy Metayer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
