She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Anders and Sallie Johnson Anders; her husband James Garfield Miller, Sr.; and her son James Garfield Miller, Jr.. She is survived by: her son Gary Miller (Jo Rosser) of Johnson City, Tennessee; her siblings, Peggy Douglas of Salem, Virginia and Ted Anders of Bland, Virginia; her granddaughters, Sarah (Hanes Swingle), Rebecca (Jonathan McCarter) and Hannah (Erin Gillespie); and her great grandchildren, Sylvie Swingle, Everett McCarter and Ryland McCarter. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
