She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Contee and Grace Sutherland Funk; and her brother Alden Funk. She is survived by: her husband Robert Roy Atkins; her daughter Arlene Atkins Morgan (Dennis) of Fries, Virginia; her grandsons, Michael Morgan (Erica) of Princeton and Daniel Morgan (Kiesi) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; her great grandchildren, Kayla Morgan, Ryan Morgan, Christopher Morgan, Jonathan Morgan and Connor Morgan; and her siblings, Linda Richardson (Allen) and Marshall Funk (Jeanne) of Comers Rock, Virginia.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Summerfield Cemetery fund c/o Ann Hodges 138 Springwood Ln.
