He is survived by: his daughter Rachel Manuel Byrd; his siblings, Susie (Curlee Horton), Sally (Jimmy Anders), Carolyn (Wayne Roberts) and Jimmy; his sister-in-law Carol Manuel of Ridgeway, Virginia; and his grandchildren, Luke Byrd, Abigail Byrd, Jonathan Byrd and Kasey Byrd. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
