He was predeceased by: his parents, Arliss Hicks and June Elizabeth Jennings Hicks; and his former wife Carolyn Hicks. He is survived by: his wife Mary Thomas; his son Larry Hicks (Jeannie Hicks); his granddaughters, Savannah (Omar Ramirez) and Avery (Matthew Richardson); his great grandchildren, RaeLynn Richardson, Ayva Ramirez and Hayden Richardson; and his cousin Lowana Burcham.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the VFW, a cause that was close to his heart.
