He is survived by: his wife Connie Gunter of Fries; his sons, Jeffrey Gunter of Marion, Virginia and Mark (Sherry Gunter); and his sisters, Louise Goad of Galax, Virginia and Pat Bennett. He is also survived by several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
