He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jewel Gale and Annie Louise Jackson Lawson; his wife Mary Lawson of Fries, Virginia; his daughter Michelle; his son-in-law Ronnie Bowers of Galax, Virginia; his son Chad; his daughter-in-law Kelly Lawson of Max Meadows, Virginia; his siblings, Sharon Lawson of Woodlawn, Virginia and Gale Lawson of Virginia Beach, Virginia; his grandchildren, Bryce Lawson, Kynsley Lawson, Kayley Melton, Karlie Montgomery, Allie Bowers and Carlie Bowers; his great grandchild Alice Melton; and his close friend Charles Roop. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
