He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roy Eldon and Opal Arnette Gravley Payne; his daughters, Whittany Pyles of Christiansburg, Virginia and Brittany Payne of Wytheville, Virginia; his grandchildren, Colton Miller and Derrainger Thomas; his siblings, Eunice (Jerry Harvey), Wynnes (Frank Harless) and Sammy; and his sister-in-law Debbie Payne of Hillsville, Virginia. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
