She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall Thomas and India Pearl Fields Vaughan; her husband Troy Franklin Murphy, Jr.; and her siblings, Phyllis (Kent Porter), Barbara (Leonard Murphy), Homer (Ola Vaughan), Jack (Ethel Vaughan) and Russell (Stella Vaughan).
She is survived by: her daughters, Carolyn Murphy of Fries, Virginia and Karen (Butch Blankenship); her grandchildren, Larissa Edwards, Seth Edwards and Connor Blankenship; her brother Duane; and her sister-in-law Shirley Vaughan of Baywood, Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family respectfully request in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Providence United Methodist Church.
