It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leeroy Simmonssr. (Freeman, Virginia), who passed away on April 11, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henrietta Flowers Simmons and Ernest Simmons; his siblings, Frances Lockley, Mattie Macklin, Henrietta Brinkley, Josie Trusty, Ernest Simmons, Jr. and Alneal Simmons; and his grandson Roberto E. Simmons.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Simmons; his sons, Leroy E. Simmons, Jr. and Larry L. Simmons; his daughter-in-law Carolyn Simmons; his grandson Roderick L. Simmons; his friend Alicent Dugger; his godchildren, Darius Dugger, Melinda Morton, Suanta Morton, Maxine Henderson and Etta Drumgold; his siblings-in-law, Leonard, Tyrone, Joseph, Kevin, Keeboo Dennis, Lorraine, Trina, Faith and Peaches Dennis; his niece Diane; and his nephew Walker Davis of Marion. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
