With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Christine Mathias (Freeman, Virginia), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Moses Powell, Sr. and Sallie Ingram Powell; her former husbands, Robert Benjamin Lewis and Hubert Lee Holzbach; her daughter Sally Jane Lewis; and her siblings, Elizabeth Harris, Moses Powell, Jr. and Leroy Powell.
She is survived by: her husband Forrest Mack Mathias; her daughter Roberta Grinstead (Tony); her grandson William Henritze (Renee); and her great grandchild Jeremiah Henritze.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM and on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Reedy Creek Baptist Church (1919 Reedy Creek Rd, Freeman, VA 23856).
