She was predeceased by: her parents, Delmar Walton and Yettie Walton; her husband James Sherwood Morris; her sons, James Sherwood Morris, Jr. and Ronnie Walton; and her siblings, Maude Fenner, James Walton and Delmar Walton.

She is survived by: her children, Shirley Naylor, Gail Morris (Allen), Carolyn Morris (Gary), Shelby Davis and Kimberly Nash (Stanley); and her grandchildren, Andy Ballard, Sandra Shifflett, Mike Morris, Brad Courtney, Chris Nash, Jessica Davis, Tommy Nash and Tracy Foster. She is also survived by her grandparents; numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
