He was predeceased by: his parents, Roman Beachy and Ada Beachy (Mullet). He is survived by: his wife Elsie Mae Kauffman; his sons, Darrel (Joanna Mast), Dwayne (Kristina Petersheim), David (Michelle Hershberger), Durlin (Emily Schlabach) and Darius (Rosalia Quevedo); and his siblings, David, James, Merle, Stephen, Gabriel and Tryphena. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren.
