It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie Cureton (Fredericksburg, Virginia), who passed away on February 3, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Maggie Mozella Burns and Willie Marshall Flake; her husband Melvin Pete Cureton; and her siblings, Pete Flake and Mary Sleigh.
She is survived by: her siblings, Benny and Queenie; her nieces, Robbin Britton, Yolandi Graham, Patricia Anderson and Magalean Flake; her nephew Randy Flake; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Anaya Chang, Alicia of Washington, Zoe Chang, Thomas Graham, Michael Chang and King Chang. She is also survived by children of her own she treated her nieces and nephews as her very own children.
