With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Rogers Carter of Fredericksburg, Virginia, who passed away on February 18, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nora Carter and Jerome Carter Sr.; his wife Joyce Latney Carter; his daughter Shafara Brown; and his siblings, Viola Williams and Jerome Carter Jr. (Ronie).
He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Vivian "Joann" Latney, Lisa Latney, Willette Baylor and Rose "Roseann" Stith; his grandchildren, Janaesya "Boo", Kyra, Serenity, Cherish, Kentrell, Sierra and Ancil; his great grandchildren, Sky and Dream; his siblings, Barbara Ann Nails, Mildred Reid, Linda Carter, Deborah Ransmeier and Eddie Carter (Martha); and his friends, Arthur and Lou.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the C. W. Edwards Funeral Home (16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, VA 22427).
