With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Trustee Linwood Smith Sr. (Fredericksburg, Virginia), who passed away on July 21, 2019 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy W. Smith and Lottie S. Smith; his brothers, Percy J. Smith (Bernice) and Arthur "Randolph" Smith; and his brother-in-law William Gray.
He is survived by: his wife Bernice Carolyn Smith of Woodford, Virginia; his children, Elder Lisa L. Logan (Elder Angelo) of Stafford, Linwood E. Smith, Jr. (Traci) of Fredericksburg, Stacy Linard Smith of Fredericksburg and Lynnita E. Smith-Johnson (Chris) of Ruther Glen, Virginia; his siblings, Herman "Roy" Smith (Rita) of Woodford, Virginia and Mimie V. Gray of Ruther Glen, Virginia; his siblings-in-law, Marcella Smith, Claudette Smith and Robert A. Coleman, Jr.; his close friends, Joseph Brown, Sr. and Melvin Sample; and his godson Preston Hawkins. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2217 Princess Anne St., Ste 106-1F, Fredericksburg, VA 22401 or the American Diabetes Association, 2913 Cahill Street, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22408 in Earl's memory.
