He is survived by: his father Elton L. Coleman; his wife Monica Y. Coleman; his mother Ruby L. Minter Coleman; and his siblings, Wayne Coleman, Mark Coleman, Terry Van Hagen and Connie Frum. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
