He was predeceased by: his wife Jane D. N. Nydegger Lewis; his son Richard James Lewis; his granddaughter Danielle Antionette Day; his brother James Edward Lewis; and his parents, Elizabeth Jones Lewis and James Henry Lewis.
He is survived by: his brother Rev. Walter England Lewis; his children, Thomas Lewis, Jr., Margaret Couture (Kevin), Patty Ukele (Mike), Mary Day (Glen), Belinda Steele, Wayne Steele (Margi), Carolyn Jones and Judith George (Tom); his grandchildren, Paul Couture, Bryan Couture, Eric Couture, Melissa Fernandez, Jason Ukele, Lindsay Boudreau, Chelsea Day, Donovan Day, Casey Day, Jana LaCombe, Jesse Jones, Taylor George and Peyton George; and his great grandchildren, Cole Boudreau, Julia Lacombe and Jace Lacombe. He is also survived by his family, friends, neighbors, beloved caregivers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boys Home of Virginia where Tom spent his early years along with his two brothers.
