He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Burkhalter and Ruby Little; his stepfather Harry Little; his siblings, Pauline Moore, Helen Harris, Beulah Dahms, Carl Burkhalter, Paul Burkhalter, Don Burkhalter and Jim Burkhalter; his sons-in-law, Robert Resendez and Arlen Warren; and his granddaughter Crystal Slough.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; his children, Donna Burkhalter (Jermaine), LaTanya Burkhalter (Damien), Diane Allen, Charlotte Leach, Alisha Chinault (Danny), Nancy Resendez, Steve Burkhalter (Eva), Sandy Warren, Ruth Howard (Eddie), Thomas Burkhalter (Robin), Brenda Frankart (Darren) and Kenny Burkhalter (Denise); his grandchildren, Jaycen Burkhalter, Destiny Lewis, Derrick Lewis, Mike Lewis (Nina), Jon Samuels, Aliyah "Lucy" Francis (Roshawn), Brittany Leach, Kirstin Leach, Brandon Leach, Colin Leach, Connor Chinault, Caden Chinault and Carson Chinault; and his great grandchildren, Luna Lewis, Khari Thomas, Jahzelle Samuels, Kamari Francis, Kannon Francis, Kali Francis, Kru Francis and Conway Palmer.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Covenant Funeral Service - Fredericksburg (10830 Patriot Hwy, Fredericksburg, VA 22408). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
