It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thelma Hammons Hingston of Fredericksburg, Virginia, born in Orange, Virginia, who passed away on September 4, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hammons and Erie Hammons; her husband Francis "Frank" Hingston; her sisters, Dorothy Boswell, Norma Ball and Ella Wilson; and her children, Joseph "Joe" Boswell, Phillip "Phil" Sullivan, Nancy Boswell Van Lear and Margaret Boswell.
She is survived by: her brother Clyde "Billy" Hammons; and her children, Jackie Sullivan (Linda), Terry Sullivan (Suzanne), Mark Boswell (Valerie), Charles "Buddy" Boswell (Robin), Catherine "Kitty" Gassaway (Earl) and Patti Walls. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Thelma's memory to Travelers Rest Baptist Church, 6823 Partlow Road, Spotsylvania, VA 22551.
