Teresa Carmen Bowlds Obituary

Bowlds died on Monday, June 5, 2023, at her home in the Celebrate Virginia community where she had been a resident since 2017.

Born in Valladollid, Spain, on July 15, 1928, Teresa and her family returned to their home in Munich, Germany, where she completed her primary education and began her trade as a seamstress. She married Herbert Bowlds at the conclusion of the war and accompanied him to America where she became a proud citizen.

In her youth, as a military wife, Teresa traveled the breadth of this country and overseas, supporting her stalwart. She flourished as a homemaker, putting roots down in Willingboro, New Jersey where she cared for her husband until his death in 2017.

She is survived by her son, Herbert Bowlds, Jr. and daughter-in-law YongAe; sister Maria Stelzer; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother, Anna (Pfaff) Wimmer; father Franz Wimmer; and siblings Francesca, Anita, Franz Jr., Wolfgang, Christian, and Fritz.

Let her life be in remembrance to America's greatest generation.
