With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sylvia Pressley of Fredericksburg, Virginia, born in Newport News, Virginia, who passed away on December 28, 2023 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ferdinand Shelton and Gwendolyn Shelton. She is survived by: her children, John Bandy, Jr., Rodney Pressley (Shannon Pressley) and Charlotte St. Juste (Glynn St); and her grandchildren, Glynn Anderson, Jr., Dylan, Dexter St. Juste and Mikael Fair.
She worked as a career telephone operator before joining the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation and fulfilling one of her life-long goals to become a stage actress and historical character actress.
