She was predeceased by: her husband Steven L. Wood, Sr.; her close friend Fred Pruitt; and her siblings, Velois West, Arlene Toler, Joan Duvall and John "Jolly" Jenkins.
She is survived by: her son Steven L. Wood, Jr. (Janice); her grandchildren, Dustin S. Wood (Jaclyn) and Kristin N. Smolinsky (Colin); her great grandchildren, Maren Wood, Reese Smolinsky, Declan Smolinsky, Catherine Wood, Brooks Smolinsky and Evelyn Wood; and her sisters, Sandra Sahnow and Joyce Jenkins (Robert). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Covenant Funeral Service - Fredericksburg (10830 Patriot Hwy, Fredericksburg, VA 22408). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
