Seal, Sr.; her grandson Richard Pates, III; her husband Richard Dwight Pates, Sr.; her sons, Richard Dwight Pates, Jr. (Mildred) and Chet Coleman Pates; her grandchildren, Autumn Pates, Charlotte Pates and Michael Pates; her siblings, Dr. Morris Seal (Jackie), Paul P. Seal, Sr. and Carolyn Seal Ervin (Larry, Sr.); her nieces and nephews, Larry Ervin, Jr., Paul P. Seal, Jr., Bill Seal, Jr., Derrick Seal, Brian Seal, Rani Wood and Renee Reid; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Nekae Reid, Marshall Seal, Conner Ervin, Andrea Piazza, Layla Ervin, Jessica Wood and Addison Ervin.
