It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Padgett of Fredericksburg, Virginia, born in Alexandria, Virginia, who passed away on February 24, 2024, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Padgett and Irma M. Padgett (Suthard); and his brother Dennis Padgett. He is survived by: his wife Mary Padgett; his children, Catherine Smith of Fredericksburg, Robert Padgett Jr. (Cheryl) of Fredericksburg, Joseph Padgett (Katharine) of Fredericksburg, Valerie Aponte of Ruther Glen and Darren Bickell Harrington (Brian) of Myrtle Beach, SC.; his grandchildren, Charles Smith, Sadie Bickell, Bradly O'neill, Brianna Smith, J. Hunter Padgett, Rileigh Padgett, Ryan Padgett, Cori Meek (Steve) and Josh Morgan; and his brother James A. Padgett (Janice).
