He is survived by: his wife JoAnne Gardner; his son Gerald Gardner (Karen); his grandchildren, Elliot Gardner, David Ransome, Julie Gardner and Alisha May (Josh); his sister Doris Anne "Tea" Hockaday; and his sister-in-law Louise Gardner. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
